Choji oil was traditional coating used on katanas to fight corrosion, I have taken a recipe for that oil and turned it into a blade wax for knives, axes, sheaths and all cutlery. The wax is 100% all natural, preservative free and food safe, no mineral oil or linseed oil. It can also be used on leather, (although it may darken the leather) it will act as a water repellant. Hand made in the USA; we hand make every batch of Choji Wax in Richmond VA. As a knife maker I find Choji wax a necessity and apply it to all knives leaving my shop.
Instructions: For best results take a small amount of wax on a microfiber or paper towel and rub on the blade and handle of the knife. Allow to dry for a minute or so then buff excess off, there will be a micro layer of wax left behind on the blade.
